Our brains are also designed for predictions just as LLMs do
For example we like to make sentences but coming up with words piece by piece instead of constructing the sentence in its entirety
We also do all our actions based on our past experiences, why I'm typing this, why I'm on YouTube and everything I've done is all based on experiences I've learned in the past the same way AI trains their nodels
The biggest limit that separates us from modern AI to our brains is
- brains are non-linear in neural connectivity
- brains have built in sections to understand language, senses and motor
- brains can learn real time while AI depends on one time training
If these limits are solved I believe it is entirely possible to fully replicate the way a brain forms consciousness, it's a stretch but based on chatgpt and how it can form logical reasoning, it doesn't seem so far off anymore
