it can't. it has no motivations that aren't programmed in. I know that's hard to understand when it sounds human, but chat gpt literally just works off of probability of the next word - it doesn't even build sentences as a whole. There is no danger of AI gaining any kind of sentience. At all.
The danger is in the unethical uses that people program AI to do. The danger is human profit seeking, as usual.
