@Kal-ug2fz Correct and humans should use AI to do new things not just churn. And it is perfectly possible to create new things. Especially if the artist goes from Digital to paint and then feeds back. You still need human input. The Law is still struggling but the one thing that has come out is just prompting is not enough to claim copyright. Thinking that the only use case is press button oo great shows that most don't understand AI. Most are just reacting on the basis of a moral indignation. (Far more people have been ripped off by other 'humans' stealing thier designs without AI). Indignation is justified if AI is used to directly recreate a specific artists work. It is not the scraping, it is the tagging of a training image with the name of the artist that is problematic. BTW Generative AI is not algorithmic the fact that it is not is the whole point a nural net . I accuse, being cynical and just using the issue to get more engagement on social media.
