Update your knowledge a bit,
LLMs are just one type of AI. Currently, the paradigm is shifting to using RL alongside LLMs to get the models to recombine knowledge. Since O3 onwards, this has been showing first signs of actual fluid intelligence as mentioned by some of the most prominent AI researchers like Francois Chollet.
Also, what you mentioned about same input not leading to same output, that's literally by design and there is a single parameter you can set to zero, which would ensure that same input always leads to same output. That parameter is called "temperature". This is not really important and is not the reason why models are currently unreliable.
You mention that you need human context, that's exactly what the current models are great at and what the Transformer architecture is all about. Paying attention to the the context around words. That's why they don't get confused when you use a word like "pitch" in different contexts like music, sales or sports.
Hand-written algorithms are not the same as agents...
That's exactly why the new era of AI is making such big impact. Compare as an example hand-written algorithms for computer vision or transcription to those which were trained on data.
There's a lot to be dismissive about, but get your knowledge updated. Stuff you're talking about is nonsense.
