No it absolutely shouldn’t. First, without a global ban that is strictly enforced, all you would be doing is ceding the course of development to other nations. Nations that might have even lower standards for safety than the United States (yes, believe it or not they exist). Second is that ai is incredibly useful and a valuable tool. Just like any tool it should be used in the correct way that enriches society and we should have safeguards that people do not misuse it.
