@ Artist of the time would say otherwise. They’d say that all the tools and ease of digital art made the art too easy and removed soul. They believed that the skill and technique of a brush stroke could not be replicated on a computer. And they did not consider digital art to be real art. It’s still not considered to be real art really. Which is why you don’t see nearly as many digital artist in museums or galleries. And if you want to get big in the art world, most digital artist have zero chance in most traditional art circles and institutions as there is a spoken and unspoken contempt of digital art. I agree that digital art is real art and is a major advancement. But I’m just saying that the contempt you hold for ai art is the same contempt held for digital artists. Digital artists hold almost no weight in the art world and their relevance comes from the fact that digital art is the prime means of making commercial art for media and graphic design. Edit: Btw I don’t even think ai art is ever going to replace digital artists like how digital artists replaced traditional. I think the ability to actually draw what’s in your mind will always hold weight. But ai art will 100% have its place. I mean think about it. You’re gonna have artists who train models off their own art and use that to animate their own tv show entirely. Where the ai lacks, they can go back and touch up on but then let ai do the rest. Isn’t that a beautiful thing? Artists using ai as a tool so achieve what original needed teams of people and years of work, that’s amazing. Yes ai can be slop. But artists using ai of their own work is just them using a tool
