I read an article about google self driving cars. Google quickly found out people driving behind the selfdriving cars got impantient when stuck behind the google car doing for example 39.99 in a 40 limit. Also sometimes the traffic flows at a certain speed slightly above the limit, so google made the cars speed a few % over the limit during good conditions.
I'm sure uber and many other selfdriving tech firms discovered the same thing
