Also on how artists getting replaced, like I dont think people really realize how big of a difference there theoretically is between humans and these AI models. Like we see these models being trained on massive databases sometimes in the billions of images. But one human life broken down into data would be insane. So looking at like a 20 year old, they would have lived 630,720,000 seconds, and scientists think we can percieve images in as little as 13 millisecond intervals. But even looking at just like 50 milliseconds that multiplies by 20 to be something like 12,614,400,000. However, we have a lot of different inputs: sight, sound, taste, smell, all different parts of touch, proprioception, balance, temperature, and possible more. Each one of these represents another point or multiple points of "data" but since they are all collected at the same time and in the same environment, they are related. When data is related like this, it compounds and creates new data points based upon the complex ways this data combines. Not only that but all of this data exists within a linear relation to all the rest as it is a part of this person's life and perception of time. This means it all compounds forward and backwards. The data compounds into creating things in our minds like conceptual objects, which then become their own points of data when we experience new things which can then compound even more. This compounding can act like multiplication and then multiplication of those multiplied values, taking the pure volume of data to literally unimaginable levels. So the sheer amount of data in just one person is absolutely insane, but because it is all interconnected and we are able to create feedback loops to learn more info (such as seeing an apple and then choosing to pic it up and rotate it or slice it open to examine it), this data is also SUPER high quality.
This helps to counter the idea that AI art generators are "just doing what artists already do" because with real artists there is so much complex data and life outside of just looking at other people's art that it's really no comparison. Like 0.1 percent, or some other small value, of a human artists data might revolve around seeing other people's art and considering it, while many AI might be sitting on something like 90% of their very uncomplex data being other people's art.
