We've spent the last 50 years trying to make serious progress with ai, and more progress has been made in the last 2 years than the previous 48, and more will be made in the next 6 months than the last two years. It's exponential, and that's how these things work. They've been working on self driving cars for 10 years with very little progress - I agree. But that is about to change drastically, and it's only a matter of time now.
