@41-Haiku Furthermore, as someone who regularly reads AI papers, there is very little evidence to show any significant progress has been made on either the current problems that do exist on a societal level with AI tech or any potential existential ones that, again, cannot be falsified.
The overwhelming majority of research is going into improving the technology with very little going into understanding it and resolving the problems that come with it, which is not great at all, but the focus on a terminator-esque scenario isn’t helpful for literally any of that.
