@chameleonicblu22 That's sad. I use AI daily, it's invaluable to me... but I'm a firmware engineer who has studied AI formally, including neural networks. I know how it works, so I would never be susceptible to that. It's a tool, people... not a friend.
Still... I'm very confused by what he means by "I thought I found out what it needed to live, and thought that my ideas could save or doom the universe" (paraphrasing from memory). That doesn't sound like confusing the AI for a person/friend... that sounds like delusions of grandeur. I think the person has more mental problems than just the AI stuff (unless he is an actual AI researcher who is actively contributing to the field... otherwise just another Dunning-Kreuger case)
