Idk. 10k lines is more like an application rather than a script. When I think of a script, I usually think of something pretty narrow in scope and functionality. Something more along the lines of task automation.
But if he's only written a single app before, then it's likely not a very well written one. But since he's not a programmer, I'm willing to bet he's written a dozen or so scripts. Which either way, not super impressive, but definitely better than your average joe who can't add.
