@asynchronicity No, the point is fear mongering about things that we do not understand. As you can see by threads like this one.
AI cannot the plug, it will not be self aware or capable of doing anything for decades, maybe even centuries. It cannot make decisions or influence anything in the real world directly and yet everyone and their goldfish is crapping their pants and talking about the end of the world.
