Actually there’s a lot of amazing treatments but sadly monopolies are a barrier to delivering these treatments. Imagine how many people could avoid the hospital and palliative care home if they had access to annual MRI scans, other preventative measures, and get the right meds completely tailored to them etc etc. for now, medical care is too generalised, one fits all approach still. Medical genomics is the future, so long as the monopolies continue we might not see it outside of “niche” territory. Many scientists making thoughtful breakthroughs still, after all, their the background of this
