(I should probably make my own video about the topic) ChatGPT has a global knowledge database ("who is Brad Pitt ?") and a local database ("What is my SSN ?"). For reasons, OpenAI has no interest in uploading your local database to the global database, because it would make the ai worse and it is very expensive. Indeed, it is in ChatGPT interest to have the least personal info about your to have a reliable and less expensive model. If you leak personnal info to chatGPT, nothing should happen because it will be confined to the local database (a database that is very expensive because it lives on GPU memory). The only way your data could leak is either openai selling your local database to advertisers, or someone hacking your local database. The important thing is that the local database is user manageable. You can erase the chatgpt data that is not common knowledge. It is called "managing a context" (or a session).
