@udawg05 "This isn’t to say AI won’t enter these fields". However, from a regulatory standpoint, ultimate responsibility still lies with humans. For example, in medicine, the surgeon remains accountable for the outcome of an operation. In tax, it is the licensed professional who must sign and submit returns to the IRS; not the AI. Because accountability cannot be shifted to machines, any responsible company will require experienced professionals to review and verify AI’s work.
That said, this requirement will reshape jobs. The focus will move away from repetitive manual tasks and toward higher-level responsibilities, such as evaluating AI outputs, exercising professional judgment, and applying critical thinking. Professionals will need expertise not only in their domain but also in understanding how AI works, so they can effectively supervise, validate, and interpret its results.
