@gabrielkime6597 Legally, that's actually tougher terrain. Precedent generally shields tool makers from user actions—we don't require Word to detect plagiarism or Photoshop to flag copied imagery. To override that, you'd need to demonstrate a public interest in restricting the tool itself, which is a high bar when the same tool has countless legitimate uses.
The more viable path is probably regulation at the distribution layer—similar to YouTube's Content ID. And here's the irony: that's not an AI liability, it's an AI opportunity. Content ID is itself an AI system. If platforms need sophisticated detection for AI-generated derivative works, guess who's best positioned to build that? The same companies supposedly being targeted. You're not crippling the industry—you're creating a new application domain for it.
