Agreed, I think in some ways the idea that AI can never be used in art is just a lack of imagination. For instance, there was an art display (by an established, significant artist who's name I entirely forget) who trained an AI art algorithm on their own art, and then selected a number of generated images to display, and the result was very compelling. Now granted, this is a very different use of the technology then, say, prompting midjourney, but I think it's worth bringing up so as to not cut ourselves off from legitimate uses of a technology that also happens to have a whole lot of illegitimate uses.
