If the money was printed/borrowed to fund UBI, youd be right, it would cause mass inflation, but if it was funded by taxes, it wont cause mass inflation. This is because no new money would be added to the economy. Some products may rise due to supply and demand, and the elasticity of the product.
A basic income can already be successfully implemented independently of AI; AI is just an accelerant for the absolute need for UBI.
