I think AI has put more burden on us. Now we have to still remember the fundamentals, the good practices, but have no time to keep those skills in practice, as for productivity, we have to do vibe coding to keep up with the pace of the industry. Then we have to review, debug, and modify the AI-generated code, which will require the fundamental skills again. But vibe coding will have destroyed that skill, too.
