If that were true, any artists who studied art made by other artists could not make copyrightable work. If it's not morally wrong for a person to learn from other art, why is it morally wrong when AI does it. Note that we are not talking about AI making art that is nearly identical to the sources material. We are talking about art that if done by a person would have no problem being copyrightable.
