@Sam-uz4iy current AI isn't that powerful that it replaces jobs, it's kinda true where factories all move to China cause there's not much labor standards there and yuan is cheaper than the dollar.... but the number one issue with layoffs and such is pretty much the quarterly stock-based payouts and bailouts for CEOs alongside trickle-down economics, those two things pretty much ended the capitalism era in the US of A imo. Otherwise, I would imagine the obviousness of transferring so much of American and European technology (that was developed with huge investments from leaders of the past and even government funds btw) to China is not good for business long-term is also clear to the execs.
