I worked for Sysco that was a union. Believe me! They don’t give a shit about you. They still had ai cameras and would fire you for any object in your hand or ear they even used videos of people being caught as a ‘safety’ message for any new hire but than made you sign a hands free contract. I later found out our facility being paid the same as another facility that wasn’t union. Unions are pretty much useless for new guys and really can’t protect you in a situation like that. Now if the union struck a better contract deal than my opinion would differ. Other than that it’s useless.
