AI can "learn" with data. But it can not come up with new ideas which is the most important part about inspiration. (References are used mainly when learning something new. Inspiration is always there) And yes artists need references to learn but they can do much more with these references. Every child can invent the stickman. Every Artstyle was made by humans. AI can not do any of this because it lacks the ability of having Ideas. All of its Ideas come from the artists with the exception of photo realism. Art is free but not made out of thin Air. Where the fuck do you think AI gets its References from? It would not even be able to do shit without Artists. And if you want your AI to do something new you need to put new Art in its Dataset. it may not be Illegal, but it is definetely ethically wrong. And shut up about getkeeping. Artists give you free tutorials online so pick up a fucking pencil. And if you want to argue "but people who do not have internet can not access these tutorilas" or some bullshit like this guess what? AI needs Internet too.
