I would disagree with your last statement. A lot of people in the industry seem to want to make this the next bitcoin. With things like AI art and AI books and all that nonsense, built on theft nonetheless, they basically want to make a quick profit with next to no work. Even the term "AI" is a serious misnomer, in my opinion, that is meant to hype it up and get people to buy into it.
Arguably, the whole Nvidia-OpenAI pipeline is a bit of a scheme, hence why people are claiming it's a bubble. It's really not that dissimilar to what a lot of people did, and are still doing, with crypto.
