First off, thank you for such an in-depth comment!! I love that! It's super interesting to hear an artist's perspective on this.
You're definitely not alone in having tested it out, I think everyone was curious about what they could push AI to make for them. I'm honestly kinda relieved that you mentioned it not being able to evoke your creative intent, because that's the sort of issue I always have in my mind when I pace around my room and think about how much I don't like AI-generated art (which I of course do every day). I also agree that the fun of AI Art doesn't take very long to go away. It just feels like a toy that you can only enjoy every once in a while when you're bored. I do definitely think there will be people/companies that try to push humans out of commercial art, but I think that in the long-term things humans will always be doing the large majority of it, because AI smells bad and has cooties.
