@mizzmolly My suspicion with the Uber system is it may have been underpowered. It's like a computer having so many resources and apps active all at the same time.Can you imagine how slow it goes? Likewise, I suspect that it took a long time for the software to recognize the poor cyclist. This is also the reason why Tesla is putting supercomputers in their cars for autonomous driving, because they realized that recognizing all the possibilities on the road would take a lot of power. On the subject of "hacking", depends on the cars software protocols. For the moment that will still be up in the air until I/we know what are the existing software that is running these things.
