You're right that AI could theoretically allow everyone to live with the comfort and leisure once reserved for the elite. But history shows that technological progress rarely benefits everyone equally it often reinforces existing power structures.
That said, assuming catastrophe is the only outcome might be too pessimistic. The future will likely bring serious challenges war, pandemics, climate crisis but it also offers opportunities for global cooperation, smarter governance, and more equitable systems. The key will be how we choose to use AI: as a tool for control, or a means of empowerment.
We might not get a utopia but we don’t have to end in collapse either.
