@DavidPatton1 I think the massive investment in AI is very dangerous as well but probably for different reasons than you. IMO the US has created a cyclical investing scheme where billions over billions of dollars are flowing from one company to the next and then end up as investment in the company that originally spent them. It's a gigantic bubble with a product that won't be able to keep up with the unrealistic expectations that Open AI etc have set. Scaling laws have already started to slow down massively with GPT5. LLMs will not culminate in a superintelligence. If this thing goes bust, it will bring down the entire US economy.
