@miguelplays2921 Check out Zvi Moskowitz's AI news summaries regularly, he talks a lot about how it is progressing, how major leader's timelines are changing, etc.
In the short term, the effect on the labor pool is that companies have no reason to hire entry level people for any job at all in any industry. AI is multuplying the performance of everyone, so the top performers are benifitting hugely and the average workers only a little, and the people who are not good at the job (such as someone who hasn't learned it yet) benefit the least. Companies are focusing on those top workers. So become one. Use your time in school to identify what you can be great at, where can you be a top performer and how can you use AI to optimize your advantages.
In the end though, AI will come for everyone, even the CEOs.
