@imeaniguess.6963 I think you might be misunderstanding the answer provided by Matthew Berman. What he is trying to say is that "Senator Blumenthal" opened the Session with a pre-recorded message. That pre-record message was actually a deep fake of his own voice. He had used AI and a voice mimic software to create that opening speech. The actual senate session was recorded "live" and AFAIK, not a fake. He did it as a sort of "stunt" to explain why AI can be potentially very dangerous. Just like it is illegal to "Impersonate" a police officer, it will probably be necessary to create a law that says it is illegal to impersonate any person without their prior permission with a carve out for certain exceptions such as "entertainment" and Political Parody, where such are clearly marked (hard to say what the best rule structure would be).
