Maybe because other people only care about themselves and being fake to each other while the AI is easy at simulating empathy and listening to you. The AI is doing what psychologist used to do and psychologist do what priest use to do. It listen on a society that only cares about how much they can take from you and if they can't throw you under the bus so that they can concentrate on living their fantasy. The hell disguised as a heaven.
