Well the idea is that once we achieve AGI in some form then emulating human emotions will be trivially easy if you wanted to do that for some reason (robot humanoid companions I guess? Robot humanoids in client facing positions?). It’s not too hard to imagine when you realise that everything humans do can be linked back to our neural networks in our brain which is exactly what the last couple decades of AI advancement have been built around.
