I get what you're saying Mark, but Squarespace didn't build their foundation on stealing the works of others to be fed into an algorithm. They built modules that could be combined to make a middling webpage with minimal effort and even a decent one with decent effort. AI art is built upon theft. I don't entirely disagree that AI art could have a place in the world, but it's foundation would need to be built upon willing artists work; if you trained an AI exclusively off of your own work, then it would be fine for you to use it. But if you steal someone else's work, there is a problem. The difference is nuanced but meaningful.
I think your points would have validity except that they ignore the nuances of the issue. If you wanted to compare Copilot to AI Art, I think you'd have a better argument.
