foppypoof5195 are weapons a necessity? Toys? Sweets? Carpets with nice looking patterns? Tons and tons of other stuff that is clearly not a necessity, but was still automated, because it's cheaper? No, it's not about necessity, it's about cost. Artists provide a service. A service that costs money. A service that costs quite a lot of money, and this niche can be filled with cheaper automation, so it will be filled with cheaper automation.
Also, I consider drawing a tedious and boring task. Both artistic and technical drawing lessons were mandatory in my school, so I was taught how to draw, and while I'm not particularly good at it, I did pass with decent grades. Hated every second of it. So it's entirely subjective, and is irrelevant to the topic of whether stuff should be automated or not.
Besides, art as a hobby is not going away. Art was just a hobby 15-20 years ago, before it became a viable job option.
