The environmental concern is real. But energy systems evolves, regulations evolve, efficiency improves. That pressure is global (I hope). If AI usage scales, the infrastructure behind it will be forced to get cleaner. It always does when money and regulation collide.
My bigger concern is sitting it out entirely and waking up three years once it's eco-friendly, but now being way behind the curve. You don’t have to adopt every shiny tool. Pick one or two that genuinely improve your workflow and be intentional. Using it responsibly isn’t the same as endorsing reckless consumption.
