@DrYouMrTube Which is why, years ago, I predicted that it’s more likely that some bad actor (government, terrorist, irresponsible experimenter, etc.) use AI to do some massive harm long before AI does it “itself”.
AI is still, largely, in the “tool stage”. No one has given it an ego, meaning/motivation/purpose, a centralized or decentralized hive mind, etc. Until then, and with more capability to affect the physical world, the biggest threat is simple: those who use AI.
262,000,000 lives were ended by government in the 20th century. NOT WAR CASUALTIES. Democide. That was with Industrial Age technology. Imagine what they could do with AI enhanced surveillance, weaponized drone swarms, crowd control, planning, etc.
It’s already being used for military purposes.
