Don’t really agree with you when referring to the pilot/automation thing. Look at the Air Force use of drones. In drones no people are onboard therefore the lack of a pilot is not an issue. In the not to distant future I see flight crews reduced to 1. The remaining 1 will be more of a tech guy to oversee the system not fly the airplane. Who knows where we go from there.
