This has actually always been a factor of any information source. But it's already becoming the dominant factor which is terrible for our society. AI summaries are becoming available for any and all content and I worry about how long it will be before that's the main source of all of our information and entertainment. Even news organizations often publish articles that have been sold to multiple outlets. If you do a search for an event in the news you can see the exact same report over and over. 20 years ago you could compare and contrast articles from different journalists who worked for different newspapers to get a more comprehensive understanding of what had happened. We are genuinely constructing a totalitarian society where we will simply be told what to think and do with no other options.
