This is a terrible analogy because we don’t drive the car in this scenario. I’ve never had trouble getting wherever I want in a car because I’m in total control. Even if I drive in random directions I can stay perfectly safe and can ask directions if I’m lost to safely get back home.
With AI, you have no control. You’re merely making suggestions and hoping the car can get as close to what you were thinking as possible. But you should assume it will get stuff wrong and hope it’s not serious. And you can give the exact same prompts and get different results. The more you use AI, the worse you realize it is.
