Worse yet, AI is *demonstrably* basically alot like the Clever Hans effect but for computers. It is incapabale of actaully understanding concepts like humans, and only gives back a string of letters based on guesses of what the person probably wanted.
It’s mostly noteable when giving it mathemathical questions- because the computer program can store information on what the most common answer to that question is, but there is no actual understanding going on behind it, and gives complete bogus answers when asked to explain how it came to such calculations. Ai art operates on the same prinicple. Which makes it all the more grating when ai tech bros try to keep on insisting that ai learns just like human artists, as if art made by humans are not based on *understanding* of principles, opposed to glorified computer predictions and guesswork
