Began a decade ago, when neural nets started powering the super computers over at Facebook, and manipulating your feeds. The general public has only now become aware of the power of this tech because they can speak to you in your language via the so called large language models like ChatGPT. But this tech was already in use ten years ago and I was already seeing signs of control then.
