@shookon3448, what precisely is the manufacturer's role then? In a true, level 5 autonomous vehicle, many manufacturers have said that there will be NO traditional manual overrides except for panic stop buttons. Should the occupant be classified as the operator if they only have the capability to bring the vehicle to an emergency stop? We certainly don't treat the passengers of automomous trains this way.
