It will inevitably become some pseudo-communist system. In the sense that, average people will depend on the government giving them a paycheck like UBI or "universal basic services", like housing and food. But for the government to provide this many things they must own or heavily tax the means of production. And take a very hard stance with the private companies that caused the AI unemployment, and for sure won't contribute "willingly" from their pockets to help the situation, so a force of some sort will be applied by the government (taxation, regulation or nationalization).
