@HunteronX "There is no such thing as a deviation from the purpose of natural selection" This statement is 100% correct. IF you don't get it, its a you problem. As I explained natural selection works on variation. All available strategies are compared in the real world and the most effective ones win. There is nothing that determines whether you fit some grand design or purpose. Natural selection is a law of nature not a designer. So the hypothetical creature you are talking about has zero relevance to reality, not does it offer any sensible explanation. The parallel drawn was humans can escape the purpose of natural selection, so AI can also escape the intentions of its human creators. Except that is stupid because humans can't escape natural selection any more than they can escape the 2nd law of thermodynamics.
Your answer concerning "subjectively defined platform" is absurd. It has nothing to do with the discussion at hand. A good metaphor allows you to use the relationship between the metaphorical and literal situation to get some insight into the situation.
