This shows a lack of understanding about how ai does "research".
Fun fact, ai only guesses what you want it to hear, it can easily give misinformation. (As gemini has proven time and time again. And chatgpt has had lots of hick-ups too). But you also cant really fact check where the bots get this info a lot of times or they might misinterpret what is being told on the site. Because this might come off as a schock, but chatgpt doesnt actually know what its saying. Even using some sites it gives you is not really giving you everything you need, as it does not know what is actually important in whatever you are researching, while going to a library or looking through trustworthy websites does tend to get you deeper into what you need.
This also undermines the entire point of research papers and figuring things out. It is important to learn how to properly use the internet and using chatgpt to do all your research will make you lazier at doing the research yourself and actually discovering things.
Lastly, chatgpt steals art just the same as any image generator. It takes written words and uses those to make their own words and scentences. These writers for websites, books or other writing projects also put time into THEIR art, so really i dont see why you would hate on image generators but be okay with chatgpt?
