Well, for American coders and IT/IS professionals, the automation & outsourcing problem still exists (more so the outsourcing part). In America, the job hiring competition is already stiff as is, but then throw in a few IT/IS and coding personnel from overseas (who will do the same jobs for a more modest salary, and are probably far more talented), and American farmed computer & programming savvy candidates are in trouble...that's closer to the truth. I mean you have to really blow an employer's socks off these days to be an American coder with a mid-high to high end job in order to not have fear of being cut loose. You can't be average these days, not in tech fields, and therein lies the tech job market anxiety for many Westerners.
