⁠@ghoftamri To say that AI promoting requires no skill is to discredit the work of countless professions that worked with written communication that existed before AI. Professions where you need to specify input correctly to get the desired outcome. Imagine a librarian that uses the database search engine, if you don’t use exactly how you specify the ”prompt” you won’t find what you are looking for. Even if prompting is not the same as handcrafting, the satisfaction of being mindful of how you do it so that you can get the desired output and honing that skill, should not be reduced to ”dragon with red eyes ghibli style”. That would be the same as claiming librarians have no skill, they just write the title of the book and get the results on the screen. I have no idea how long the prompting we use today will be valid though. The ”real skill” as I see it (right now) is to link AI into different workflows and handcrafting the context and prompt of each. For example, ask one LLM that you want to create a game and it will orchestrate a planner LLM, 3D creator agent, concept artist agent, dialogue writer LLM etc. Of course I will also value output that another person generates with this, putting their vision of their dream game into the world. But if they just use this to recreate games that already exist, I won’t feel amazed for very long.
