It's not about making money, which is just a mean for achieving monopoly. It's about ressources, controlling assets. If you do that you don't need other people to spend money. If the people owning AI and owning all the property can they will absolutely abandon the rest and let them starve. It is what slave owners did in ancient Rome to old or sick slaves until it was restricted.
