Sure, but the same thing is true of photography. Nobody is going to compliment you for taking 5 seconds to take a picture of a sunset.
But at the same time, there are ways to elevate photography, which is why it's become a recognized art form in spite of the criticism that followed it for decades after its creation. If you think AI doesn't have ways to elevate it beyond a 5 second prompt, then you don't know much about it as a medium.
